addressed in the Notes/Domino mail templates which ship with release
6.0.5/6.5.4.

Rules
SPR# OOGE66RJBB - Error "Notes error: Formula error" was displayed after trying
to upgrade rules that were created in the R5 client (or when the mail file was
in the R5 design). This regression was introduced in 6.0.
Workaround
If the updated mail template is not available, the rule must be disabled,
